I'm beginning to share the same thoughts concerning the series as well. As I sit here pondering whether or not to torrent tonights episode, I wonder if it's really worth the bandwidth...

I have been slowly coming to the same conclusion. Thankfully in the UK the adverts aren't as bad as they are in the US (we get ad breaks every 30 minutes at the most... a few channels have no ads). I tend to download the latest Lost and there are no ads at all then. Thankfully I've recently discovered Heroes and that's helped a lot.

@Ben: Regarding Heroes...I've yet to watch it but all of my friends swear by that show. Maybe I should give it a try...

I feel the same way about LOST, in fact I fell asleep watching it last night, I mean come on!

Heroes is definitely the bomb! I'm also digging The Dresden Files on Sci-Fi.

I thought last night's episode was excellent (as well as the Desmond-centric episode) and this season overall has been good (although not as exciting as the first two). And I stopped listening to the promos altogether. Those are created by ABC, not the producers or anyone dealing with the direction of the show so I discount them as exactly what they are, advertising. It seems like they are aimed at those who may not have watched as much after the first season(s) and are trying to lure them back with "3 Mysteries Revealed!" type of lingo.

I just ignore them and wait for Wednesday. Also, I think the closer we get to the ultimate end of the show (4-5 seasons, according to the producers), the better it will get.

I don't know Tony. In my mind the show has just completely stopped progressing. It just feels like all they're doing is creating more questions instead of more answers. I need to feel like I'm able to alteast get one piece of the puzzle when I watch the show. And in my mind, season 3 has just thrown half the puzzle out the window and is asking me to go outside and dig around the grass for the pieces. It's just too much work.

But, obviously to each their own. :)

Totally hear you. I wasn't into the first bunch of Season 3 episodes that were all Jack, Kate and Sawyer centric. Completely bored with that whole end of the story. But the last 2 or 3 episodes have actually been pretty good. Not absolutely fantastic, but definitely better and more like the previous seasons. If there's still a little bit of hope left, try and catch up on those.

Also, I'm not sure if they're just poorly placed or if there are in fact more commercials in Lost than any other show, but it sure does seem that way. I can't stand watching it "live" and always download it, commercial free. :)
